Birmingham Cathedral

Birmingham Cathedral, built in 1715 and listed grade I, is a rare example of English Baroque architecture. It is home to an internationally important set of stained glass windows designed by Sir Edward Burne-Jones and manufactured by William Morris & Co.

The internal restoration project was partly supported by a grant from the First World War Centenary Cathedral Repairs Fund. It included the redecoration of the nave and aisle walls & ceilings, joinery repairs, cleaning and restoration of monuments, new lighting installation and associated electrical upgrades, new fire alarm and CCTV installations and improvements to the main south west entrance including the provision of new glazed lobby.
