Country House Restoration & Extension, North Lincolnshire

An important Grade I 18th C country house with a GIFA of 20,000ft2.

The project involved demolition of inappropriate modern extensions and removal of modern brickwork facades, the construction of a sympathetically designed new two storey wing, re-facing of elevations with a handmade bricks in a traditional bond, partial re-roofing using Westmorland slates , internal alterations and improvements including full renewal of the mechanical and electrical installations, and installation of a combined woodchip and oil fired heating system within a nearby outbuilding. In addition, extensive landscaping improvements and the restoration of a historic orangery.
